What is Colloquy Downeast? (COL-O-KWEE)
- Independent learning community and non-profit corporation, engaged in serious learning through the exchange of thoughts and ideas
- Initiated and supported by Blue Hill Peninsula-Deer Isle residents
- For all learners eager for interactive, analytical, open-minded, conversational learning experiences who are willing to challenge their own assumptions
- Volunteer expert learning facilitators
- Readings available prior to meetings
- 4-6 weeks, 2—2 1/2 hour sessions, fall, winter, and spring
- Offered in convenient area locations
- Non-credit
- Fee-based participation
- Open to course suggestions and innovative ideas (let us know!).
Our Registration Policies
In order for participants to enjoy maximum involvement, the size of each colloquy is limited to 15. Registrations are accepted in the order they are received. Registrations only become final once payment of $50 per person and for each colloquy has been received.

If there is a waiting list, you will be notified immediately.
Should circumstances make it impossible for you to begin a colloquy, please let us know as early as possible, but not later than 30 days prior to the beginning of the series. It is our policy not to return registration payments after that date.
For reasons beyond our control, we may be forced to change dates, times or locations already published. Participants affected would be contacted immediately.
